Synopsis

LIBRO I The Tree of the Convicted Oberon and Uther Orestes are twins and princes of Thyria and heirs of a hate that none dares to name. The first ride to the north bound by his duty: He should get back an old mask before it falls into his hands. The second one goes with him claiming that he's just trying to stop his brother from dying. Between them they travel years of comparisons, quiet and wrongs. Oberon has his father's affection, his promise of a crown and his commitment to Ishara Brisaluna. Uther has a scar, a black sword and the certainty that his heartbeat was born too late. In a forest turned into a ptibular, his brothers discover several Dominican soldiers torturing Gloin de Rajaroca, a midget accused of transport a mace that should not exist. To save them forces them to shed blood and transformed a secret mission into a persecution. Gloin knows his way to Shadow Mountains but also knows what happened there with his father and why some men are willing to kill to find his door. Three passengers are heading north. Behind them they leave corpses hanging from a tree. They have something far worse than war ahead of them: a place where justice, revenge and murder start to look too much alike.
